Singing Guidelines Autumn-Winter 2024
Singing together is a high risk activity for spreading respiratory illnesses including Covid 19, flu and colds.
- If you are feeling at all unwell, have any new symptoms, or if you have recently had a respiratory illness and may still be contagious please do not attend a singing.
- You are welcome and encouraged to take a Covid Lateral Flow test before singing but this is not required. If you still have active symptoms please do not attend, even with a negative test result.
- We sit in four voice parts facing each other. Singers are welcome to move chairs to create spacing that they are comfortable with. Singers are welcome to stand in the middle or lead from their seat. If you’d rather people didn’t stand in front of you to lead, please avoid sitting in the front rows, particularly in the tenor section.
- We will ventilate rooms as much as possible depending on the venue particulars and the temperature, without creating an uncomfortable environment. Please bring extra layers if you might need them.
- This policy will likely change in relation to All Day Singings and Conventions that we host. See individual event details for their policies.
